During most of my time as a designer, I was also the merchandiser. Most of the companies I worked with did not have a separate merchandiser. Once I became a design director, I had many close relationships with buyers and we would build their whole assortment out together; of sweaters that go back to bottoms and tees ect. Below are some examples of these merchandised groups.
